Qantas Airways Limited - Qantas Airline logo / tail markings

Qantas Airways Limited - Qantas Airline is mainly white with a red rear which goes up along the contour of the tail which is all red with a white kangaroo logo, there is also a small red logo with white kangaroo on each engine towards the back and a red tip on each wing.

Qantas was founded in the Queensland outback in 1920. Registered originally as the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited (QANTAS), that's why it's not Quantas Airways - No 'U'.

At one stage going to be NTAQAS (Northern Territory And Queensland Aerial Service) but this was changed before the company was formally registered as Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited. The date was 16 November 1920.

Australian Airlines

Australian Airlines was based in Cairns International Airport in Australia, it ceased operating in 2006 but continued to operate under the brand of Qantas.
